We believe God loves you more than you will ever know.
Most people agree that we live in a broken world. Suffering, violence, and oppression make us ache for something more. Like hunger points to food and thirst points to water, our universal ache for goodness points to a good Creator who designed us and our world to be just that… good.
But we are damaged by evil. We may claim to be a “good people,” but truth be told no one is perfect. We live to gratify our own desires, and we fall short every time. Through our own sin (living for ourselves rather than for our Creator) we’ve ushered in this brokenness that surrounds us all.
God loved us too much to leave it that way. And God loves you more than you will ever know. Here at Journey, we believe that out of His amazing love, God came to the planet as Jesus 2,000 years ago and started a new thing.
This new thing is what we call “the gospel.” It means “good news.” We believe Jesus took on all of our brokenness and died on the cross, letting it die with Him. He then came back to life, proving that evil doesn’t have the final say. And He now lives in every one of us who believe this, who trust Him as our Rescuer, who follow Him with our lives.
We believe He is restoring all things. We believe He is using us. We are about recovering and pursuing God’s good design by sharing His amazing love throughout the world.
How to begin a relationship with Jesus today:
1. Admit your own brokenness and your need for forgiveness.
2. Be willing to repent and believe. Repenting means turning away from living for yourself, and wanting to live for your Creator. Believing means accepting the truth that Jesus loves you more than you’ll ever know, and that He died on the cross and rose from the grave to forgive everything you’ve done and everything that has been done to you.
3. Through prayer, which is simply talking to God, silently or aloud, ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and be your Savior forever.
If you began a relationship with Jesus today, let us know! We want to welcome you to the family of God and help you take any next steps you need to take.
If you have questions about a relationship with Jesus, or would like to speak with someone about it, we would love to help in any way we can.
