Journey WORSHIP Director

role purpose

To develop a healthy, vibrant, worshipping church by developing and releasing worship leaders and artists who live as authentic followers of Christ.


SHEPHERDING 

  • Provide catalytic, releasing leadership to Journey worship volunteers and team members 

  • Develop and release worship leaders, volunteers, and artists at Journey who live as authentic followers of Christ to Jonesboro and beyond

  • Develop a culture of unity, health, and a biblically grounded philosophy of worship among Journey worship ministries: Kids, Students, College, and the full congregation. 

  • Participate in a Journey group 

  • Provide counseling as requested 

SERVICES 

  • Oversee worship planning processes at Journey 

  • Facilitate 52 Christ-exalting, truth-centered worship celebrations with creative excellence, and centred on the Gospel.

  • Oversee and coordinate special worship celebrations 

  • Cast vision and give oversight to all forms of media production at Journey 

  • Serve in weddings and funerals as requested 

ORGANIZATIONAL 

  • Serve as an active member of the leadership Triad, helping to advance the vision, mission, and values of Journey

  • Facilitate technologies that improve ministry processes and help advance metric-informed decision making 

  • Partner with the Equip to develop strategic partnerships with others
